Welcome to new member, Logibal!
We are pleased to welcome Ittetsu Ochiishi to VIA. At just 22, Ittetsu already brings a strong international outlook to the industry, having lived in New Zealand during his high school years when he developed a lasting connection with the country that has shaped his professional journey.
After studying law in Tokyo and trying his hand at launching businesses, Ittetsu joined his family’s freight forwarding business where he is tasked with driving its expansion into the used vehicle export market.
Drawing on his New Zealand experience, Ittetsu aims to support local licensed traders by providing reliable, competitively sourced vehicles through Japan’s auction system. Logibal offers a full service, from vehicle sourcing and auction bidding to shipping and export documentation, helping to streamline the process for New Zealand buyers.
Although Japanese vehicle exports have grown significantly in recent years, New Zealand’s market has faced challenges. Ittetsu sees this as an opportunity to build strong, supportive partnerships that contribute to New Zealand’s economic growth.
Joining VIA reflects Ittetsu’s belief in listening to the local market, learning from peers and building genuine, long-term relationships because, as a small, family-run business, Logibal values flexibility, responsiveness and trust.
“We are currently developing our service with a strong focus on the personalised support that large operators have traditionally found difficult to provide,” says Ittetsu.
For Ittetsu, working with New Zealand is not just business – it is a personal mission. His long-term goal is to establish a base here, strengthening ties between New Zealand and Japan and delivering vehicles that meet the needs of Kiwi drivers.
We are delighted to have Ittetsu on board and look forward to his contributions.
